No gambling here.
Ficha has no coins of the month, no yield and no leverage. These are the reasons, with the data and the sources.
What you won't find.
Other coins
There are digital dollars and bitcoin. Nothing else.
Yield
Neither one pays interest.
Lending
They're never lent or pledged as collateral.
Leverage
No futures and no buying with borrowed money.
Why there are no other coins.
We took the 100 largest coins of January 2022, according to CoinMarketCap. We removed bitcoin, the coins pegged to its price and the stablecoins, which are dollars. That leaves 91. Then we looked at how much bitcoin each one buys today.
- buy more bitcoin than they did
- 4
- buy less
- 81
- no longer have a market
- 6
Measured in dollars, 7 of those still traded are worth more than they were and 69 lost more than half.
We ran the same count for every January from 2017 to 2025. The best year for the other coins was 2021: 13 of 92 beat bitcoin. In the rest, between 3 and 8.
Most of those coins have an issuer: a company or a foundation that created them, kept a share and decides when to sell it. Bitcoin has no issuer.
This count looks backward. It says nothing about what the price of bitcoin, or of any other coin, will do.
Why there's no yield.
Yield comes from somewhere. On the platforms that paid interest for holding coins, it came from lending them out. While those loans were repaid, the interest arrived. When they stopped being repaid, withdrawals froze overnight.
- May 2022
- Terra. Its UST coin was meant to be worth one dollar and paid about 20% a year to anyone who deposited it. On May 9 it lost its peg, and within a week it was worth less than 20 cents. According to the US SEC, 40 billion dollars were wiped out. Its creator pleaded guilty to fraud and was sentenced to 15 years.
- June 2022
- Celsius. It promised up to 18% a year. On June 12 it froze withdrawals, with about 4.7 billion dollars of its customers' assets inside, and a month later it filed for bankruptcy. The examiner appointed by the court found it had committed to pay its customers 1.36 billion dollars more than it earned on their deposits. Its founder pleaded guilty to fraud and was sentenced to 12 years.
- November 2022
- BlockFi. It paid up to 9.5% a year. According to the SEC, that interest came from lending its customers' assets to companies and institutions, among other uses. On November 10 it froze withdrawals, and on November 28 it filed for bankruptcy. Its customers began to be repaid in 2024, in dollars, at the value on the day of the bankruptcy.
That's why Ficha doesn't pay interest: your dollars and bitcoin stay in your Wallet or your Vault, and no one lends them.
Bitcoin falls too.
Holding only bitcoin doesn't spare you the volatility. Since 2013 its price has fallen more than 75% three times, and each time it took more than two years to get back to its previous high. Between October 2025 and June 2026 it fell by more than half. Nothing guarantees it recovers.
Ficha can't change that, and won't tell you when to buy or when to sell.
What there is.
Digital dollars and bitcoin. Only 21 million bitcoin will ever exist, and no one can make another. It has no issuer: no company or foundation decides how many there are. It has been running since 2009.
Sources and method
Ranking and prices: CoinMarketCap, weekly snapshots of January 2, 2022 and September 27, 2026. The price in bitcoin is each coin's dollar price divided by bitcoin's in the same snapshot. Coins that migrated to a new token are followed at the official swap rate. A coin counts as having no market if it has no quote, if CoinMarketCap no longer reports its market value, or if it moves less than 1,000,000 USD a day (the median of the last 30 days); those count neither for nor against. Bitcoin's falls: daily closes from CoinMarketCap.
